Brutal Strike

You know how to hit an enemy where it hurts. You’re proficient with martial weapons, and you know a number of techniques equal to your Prowess. Choose a number of melee weapons you’re proficient with equal to your +POWER; you gain mastery with them, and can change your selection as part of your daily preparations.

Whenever you attack a creature with an unarmed attack or melee weapon, you can apply sundered to yourself (if you don’t already have it) to increase your success by +1 step, choosing to do so after you’ve seen the result. This can’t turn a strong hit into a critical hit.

Additionally, on a hit with an unarmed attack or melee weapon, you can mark 1-fatigue to choose one of the following:

  • Add your +POWER to the damage roll as an additional bonus
  • Push the target 10 feet away from you, then close the gap without triggering reactions
  • Apply slowed to the target

Gain a talent, and expertise in it, related to physical intimidation or feats of raw strength.

Rage

You can draw upon your inner fury to drive yourself in battle. You’re proficient with light and medium armor. Spend 1 AP to start raging: while raging you are empowered and invigorated, you have resistance to physical damage as long as you aren’t wearing heavy armor, and you have advantage on saving throws against frightened and charmed. Spend 1 AP on subsequent turns to keep your rage going, for up to a minute. When your rage ends, mark 1-exhaustion.

Gain a talent, and expertise in it, related to your strength or fury that describes where your rage builds from.
